Second Grade Vision Statement

The Second Grade Teachers of SOEC are a committed and experienced team who love our profession. We work in an atmosphere of camaraderie and mutual respect. As a team we support each other and together work through our second grade common core state standards with our students. Together we do many projects, in class and at home, fostering a sense of community among our students. We teach our students to share, work things out, and to have high expectations of themselves while having fun.

We are committed to educating our students socially, emotionally and cognitively. Our goal is to educate every child with the belief that all children will learn when given the proper motivation and opportunity. Our second graders will master their Foundational Skills and leave the primary grades with confidence and the ability to achieve their goals. Our greatest goal is that every child enjoys learning and continues to be a life long learner.
