Everyday Ways To Help Earn Money

There are several cost-free and painless ways to earn money for SOPA while doing your regular everyday shopping. You don’t even have to spend an additional penny. Please encourage friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to participate as well. Anyone can support SOPA and bring enrichment to our school with these easy, everyday ways to help.

If you buy your groceries at Ralphs, Pavillions and/or Vons you could earn money for our school every time you shop. It costs you nothing and requires no more than registering your card number and using your rewards card at check out. It is an easy way to make thousands of dollars for our school with no additional cost to you. The Ralphs Community Contribution Program restarts every September 1st. That means even if you signed up before, you need to renew every September for the school to continue to receive the benefits of your shopping dollars.

Box Tops

Turn in box tops from the Box Tops For Education Program to earn money for our school – last year we earned over $900!  There is a collection box in the front office or you can bring them to your teacher.  Go to the Box Tops for Education website for a full list of participating products: http://www.boxtops4education.com/.  Hundreds of participating products that you buy every day in the grocery store are part of the Box Tops for Education Program. SOPA receives $.10 cents for every box top.  Any questions, please contact Sharon Matsumoto at sharon@shermanoaksparents.com.

Twenty local schools compete for cash prizes between $200 and $1500 from the Westfield Fashion Square Mall. Every time you shop at the mall our school can earn points for every dollar spent with lots of additional bonus point opportunities throughout the program period. All you need to do is shop at the Fashion Square Mall from February 1st through April 30th and then log your receipts in one of three easy ways: 1) Use the drop box on the lower level of the mall near the Westfield Playspace, 2) Use the drop box in the SOEC front office, or 3) log your receipts online at the Earning for Learning website www.shoppingpartnership.com/fashionsquare. In the past, we have used Earning 4 Learning awards to purchase improvements for our computer lab including: a color laser printer, keyboards and keyboard protectors, wireless networking, and headphones. We have also purchased equipment for the Science Lab including: a DLP Projector, Robotic Kits, and Energy Experiment Kits. For more information, visit the Earning 4 Learning website at www.shoppingpartnership.com/fashionsquare.
