Yoga & Mindfulness = A Lifetime of Wellness

In a world of constant motion, it’s not surprising that so many children
are habitually distracted. More than ever, kids need opportunities to move
their bodies, develop communication skills and practice focusing on just
one thing at a time.  In this class we will practice simple breathing techniques to slow down the nervous system, develop self-control and help connect children with their feelings.  Students will learn Yoga poses to release energy, learn compassion and develop strength, concentration and self-confidence, as well as techniques to calm the body and mind.  We will also play games that develop patience, mindfulness, compassion, leadership and other social/emotional skills. Course fee includes yoga mat, blocks, music stick, and more.  Participants will keep all materials at the end the session.
